Donut Friend is an inviting shop, with a varied selection of “boutique” donuts (I guess that’s what we’re calling them now). But while some millennial donut shops feel the need to wreak havoc on your teeth with wild flavor mash-ups (Honey butter ranch?? Lord, help us!), Donut Friend simply brings classic combos (Peanut butter and jelly! Strawberries and cream!) to the donut stage, in a way that makes you wonder why donuts haven’t always been a vehicle for matcha or passionfruit.
