JuiceLand. Austin, TX.

Living in Minnesota, you forget that there are places where produce is always ripe and good-tasting and not shaped like a bean bag chair from being smooshed in a crate on a cross-country truck ride. So when we’re on the road, we make sure to take advantage of proximity to fresh fruits and veggies via juice and smoothie shops. A delicious cold-pressed juice in the middle of the day also makes us feel like we’re taking care of our bodies. We sip our little fruit drinks as we sit in a car for 8 hours without lumbar support, then toss our empty cups in the trash next to the McMuffin wrappers. Yes. Health is of the utmost importance to us. But, let’s be honest, taste and enjoyment are even more important, and that’s where Juiceland in Austin really delivers. You know your smoothie is going to taste incredible just looking at the color. These smoothies are PINK. And freakin’ GREEN. The kinds of colors you’d be afraid to paint a whole room in your house. Because they are that RICH. And, let me tell you, they do taste incredible. Sweet and sour and earthy, not like dirt earthy, but like you are consuming something truly fresh and wholesome. And best of all, the prices are good! No one wants to spend double digits on a liquid. At Juiceland, you can have your fruit and keep your dough. Nice. Multiple locations across Texas.

Price: Most 14oz smoothies hover around $6. They also served reasonably priced food, but I’ve never tried it.

Health: Yes! Nutrients abound!

Speed: I’ve never experienced too long of a wait.
