New Delhi Indian Restaurant. Philadelphia, PA.

Choices, choices, choices! Generally, for me, a bad thing. I need focus, I need streamlined, I need someone else to tell me what I need. But there is one arena where more is truly merrier: the all-you-can-eat buffet. And there’s nowhere I’d rather eat it all than at New Delhi in Philadelphia. New Delhi is not doing anything off the wall or experimental, they’re just making the Indian cuisine staples you know and love at their most lovable. The chicken tikka is amazing, the chana masala is great, but the korma, a dish I’d normally glaze over on a menu, is the stand-out for me. And I will have all three and then some! I like to create a sauce conglomerate in which to dunk and scoop my naan and rice respectively. My favorite part of the experience, besides walking to the restroom through a fully chrome hallway (FUUUTURE!), is pouring myself a cup of hot milky chai for the road. It’s always the thing that puts my fullness over the edge (like, needing-to-perform-the-show-from-a-gurney edge), but it’s so warming and sweet, I can’t deny myself such a perfect treat. And you shouldn’t either!

Price: My tip? Go for lunch! The buffet is only $13.95.

Health: Well, it’s not healthy to eat it all. But if you have self-restraint, you could probably keep things light.

Speed: This is up to you. How fast is your food-shoveling arm?
